On 30th June, Stitching Together co-hosted a Creative Research Methods Twitter Chat (#CRMethodsChat) on ‘Participatory Textile Making as a Research Method’.
#CRMethodsChat is an initiative created by Dr Helen Kara, who has written extensively about creative research methods for the social sciences. The chats are held on Twitter at a scheduled date and time. Over one hour, six pre-prepared questions are launched into the Twittersphere to stimulate discussion. Helen invited us to co-host a chat following the publication of our Journal of Arts and Communities special issue.
It was an intense hour of really rich discussion – with an astonishing average rate of one tweet every 15 seconds – and some interesting references were recommended throughout. Helen kindly documented the tweets via Wakelet – click here to read them!
