As a follow-up to the Stitching Together Study Day, we’re running a free two-hour online event with the aim of supporting people with interests in participatory textile making activities to forge new connections for future conversations and collaborations.
Thursday 3 June, 2-4pm BST (check the time in your time zone)
Book your free place at the Networking Session on Eventbrite
You are invited to come along if you would like to meet others involved in participatory textile making. For example, you might represent an enthusiast group whose members are keen to work with an academic researcher to explore a particular question; you might be a commissioner interested in meeting new facilitators for future projects; you might be a facilitator interested in making links with fellow facilitators for mutual support; or any other combination!
The registration form asks a series of questions about your location, role, interests and who you would like to meet at the networking session. We will use attendees’ responses to organise breakout groups … and then see what develops!
Please note that we don’t have the capacity to coordinate connections following the networking event: attendees will be encouraged to follow up potential connections and ideas themselves. We will, of course, be delighted to hear about how any ideas initiated at this session may develop in future!
